Welcome
Always interested in photography, I took it up seriously four years ago with the intention of pursuing photojournalism.
I attended the University of Calgary where I majored in Religious Studies, and worked as a photographer for the student newspaper. After two years, I switched into the photojournalism program at SAIT to help develop my photography skills and gain more experience in the industry. I am in the second year of the program.
My goal is to develop a strong, effective style that draws people into the issues that I am covering; the ability to create awareness is the first step to effecting action and change. This is very much an evolving concept for me.
I want my experiences to eventually culminate into a career in conflict journalism.
